Empowering Women, Protecting Communities.

ViN’s Women’s Trafficking Prevention Initiative in Nepal was an experience that transformed me. This project is aimed at addressing the issue of women and girl trafficking and ViN offers its volunteers a very strong avenue for making actual changes in the marginalized communities.

Empowering Change by Raising Awareness

Among other activities, I participated in campaigns aimed at growing awareness among vulnerable communities. We held seminars; distributed information resources as well as facilitated dialogues on trafficking risks. It was so fulfilling to see the level of alertness and knowledge rise among participants.

Teamwork

The basis of this project is collaboration and teamwork. We improved the reporting systems by working closely with local law enforcement agencies. Also, we partnered with non-governmental organizations and government bodies to fortify anti-trafficking measures. The above approach underscored the significance of united front against trafficking.
